Busy Summer

WOW! Can't believe it's been nearly two months since I blogged! But, it has been a fun and busy summer here. We took a trip in our new travel trailer, to see our great grandbabies in Tucson! We stayed for 8 days, then on to CA to see our daughter and grandson in Riverside, then up to Fresno to see our kids, grandbabies there! Whew! That's a lot of grandbabies!!! We have 8 grandbabies and 4 great grands.

We weren't home a week from our trip until we had company for a few days. Then getting ready to take our trip with the grandsons who graduated from Middle School this year. When our grandkids graduate Middle School, Gramma & Grampa take them to Hawaii for a week. So, that's where we went. So fun! Usually we go to Kauai, but this time we went to the Big Island. None of us had been there. It was spectacular to see the Kiluea Volcano.
Finally, I had a chance to play in my 'Happy Place'. I have had this card in my head since the new catty came out and just now got a chance to try it. It uses the Pop of Paradise stamp set and the Pop of Pink DSP. It's my first attempt at a double Z fold card. Not bad for a first attempt. The tutorial is on YouTube and is by JanB. Just search for double Z fold card and you will find it.
Thanks for stopping by today. I am going to attempt to add a couple of samples from the new Holiday catalog next week. If you'd like a catalog please email me (cyriousstamper@aol.com) with your snail mail addy and I will get one to you. Until next time...Happy Stamping!

When getting these pictures together for this post, I realized that I gave away my card for the swap prior to getting a picture of it. Duh! But, guess that happens when you are trying to get things ready for a 3 1/2 week vacation! Oh well.

Speaking of vacation, I think I told you all that we were going to meet our Great Grandbabies in Tucson. Here they are:
L-Camren, M-Aubri, R-Holley
Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time....HAPPY STAMPING!

Anniversaries

I have a niece who celebrates her wedding anniversary in May. My son and daughter-in-law celebrate their wedding anniversary in June. I also have some demo sisters who have SU! anniversaries in May and June. Below are the cards made for those occasions!
This came together so quickly, but packs such a punch, I think. Black base and  It's My Party DSP. Used the Curvy Corner Trio Punch (I'm sorry to see that go). And the SAB set Botanicals for You.
This card uses my new fave technique, the drapery fold. I used Crushed Curry base, the English Garden DSP and some long retired Crushed Curry ribbon. The verse is from Cottage Greetings. (glad it's staying).
This card uses Wisteria Wonder for the base, Elegant Eggplant for the next layer. The flowers are from the 'extra' stamp set that came along with the April Paper Pumpkin. The sentiment is from Birthday Blooms, even though this for an SU! anniversary.
This card also uses Wisteria Wonder (behind the cut out heart) and Elegant Eggplant. You can't see in the pic, but the Eggplant flowers are covered with Wink of Stella. Really nice IRL.
This is the last anniversary card. The base is Chocolate Chip, the next layer is Pool Party embossed with the Happy Heart TIEF. The ribbon and the the embossed rose are from my stash, as is the sentiment.

Well, thanks for stopping by today. I will probably be MIA again for awhile. Will be leaving soon to visit my newest little blessings soon. Until the next time....HAPPY STAMPING!

Birthdays

These are the birthday cards that I've made for birthdays in May and June. Since I'm not sure when we will be heading to Tucson, I wanted to be ahead of the game. July is also a 'busy' birthday month, but fortunately they are due to go in the mail before I leave for Hawaii.
This card uses the Timeless Elegance DSP, Versamark and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.
This card is an exact CASE of a swap received at convention last July. Uses Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set and Punch, Large Dots Embossing Folder, Watermelon Wonder Lace.
This card is another exact CASE. Also using the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set and Punch, Lots of Dots Embossing Folder and the Fringe Scissors.
This card is a CASE of one I received from my BFF. It's the Birthday Blossoms DSP, Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky card stock. It's called a collar card or peek-a-boo card. I just love it! The tag if from Tag It.
I didn't use any sentiment on the outside, because I wanted the DSP to shine. The base is Night of Navy, the next layer is Crumb Cake and then the English Garden DSP.
This uses the English Garden DSP for the drapery fold. The ribbon is long retired in Melon Mambo. The card base is Pink Pirouette. The verse is from Birthday Blossoms.
This card has a Basic Black base, Hardwood layer (embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder for more texture. The stamp set is Wetlands and the other color is Lost Lagoon.
This is another exact CASE of a convention swap. Love getting ideas from other demos and their take on certain stamp sets and DSP.
This card uses a tecnique wherein you stamp and emboss the image in white on black card stock, then color after it's heat set. This particular one was colored with the retired Blendabilities. (sure wish they'd bring alcohol inks back!) The sentiment is stamped with white Staz-on.

That's all the birthdays for May and June. Whew! Thanks for stopping by today. Come back soon. Until then...HAPPY STAMPING!

This is the precious preemie. Doing great at 13 months old!!!!!!!

This is Mr. Camren Jarrett. He was born yesterday. He weighed in at 6lbs 8oz and was 19.5 inches long. He and Mommy are still in the hospital, but should find out today how soon they can go home!

April Birthdays

Here are the birthday cards that I made for April.
This one uses the Birthday Blossoms set with Rich Razzleberry and Blushing Bride.
Don't know why this envelope came out pink (it's white). This uses Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White.
This is the Flowering Fields set in Old Olive and Melon Mambo.
This is the Party Wishes set in Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive.

These were the only birthday cards that I remembered to take photos of. There was another one that was for a birthday on the first, but I forgot to take a pic before I put it in the mail. I also had to make an anniversary card this month, but that one won't be posted until after the event.

Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget #imbringingbirthdaysback, so if you want to receive a card from me, leave your birthday in the comments and email me your snail mail addy (if I don't already have it. Until next time...HAPPY STAMPING!

#imbringingbirthdaysback

Hi everyone.  Happy April Fool's Day! Did you pull any pranks on anyone today? I haven't yet, but....my family needs to stay on their toes!
The following NOT a prank!

SU! employee and fellow demo Shannon West has started a new 'movement' that you may have heard about. #imbringingbirthdaysback. She designed a new stamp that SU! is selling (item #143573) the stamp. It's wood mounted and costs $12. Don't you just LOVE IT!??? You can read more about Shannon's movement on the SU! blog here.

If you would like to receive a birthday card from me, please leave a comment with your name and birthdate. If I don't have your mailing address, please email me the information @ cyriousstampers@aol.com, and I will add you to my birthday list! If you'd like to purchase the stamp, go to the SU! store here. And, don't forget to list me as your demonstrator.

Babies

I hope everyone had a Blessed Easter.

My two oldest granddaughters are going to be presenting us with Great-grandbabies in May! WOW! that makes me sound really old, doesn't it? Really, some days I do feel really old, but most days I don't. Anyway, the girls are due within 2 weeks of each other, so I made them matching cards for their showers. (as you can see, one will be having a boy and one will be having a girl).

For both cards, I made screen cards. I used retired Pretty in Pink for the girl and used Lost Lagoon for the boy. I also used the stamp set (thanks Mary Lou for letting me borrow) Something for Baby and the matching Baby's First Framelits. Sure hope the girls like them.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time...HAPPY STAMPING!

MIA AGAIN!

WOW, I can't believe it's been nearly a month since I've posted. I will try to do better in the future, but life seems to be getting in the way. It's nearly time for the new catalog and I haven't put ink to all my Occasions and SAB purchases, yet. But, here are the cards I made for March birthdays.
This card uses Basic Black, Soft Suede and Whisper White card stock. The Hardwood and Tag Talk stamp sets. I also used the Triple Banner Punch and Early Espresso Baker's Twine.
This card uses Island Indigo, Basic Black & Whisper White card stock. It uses the Gorgeous Grunge and Sassy Salutations stamp set along with some Basic Black Baker's Twine.
This card uses Old Olive, Melon Mambo and Whisper White card stock. the embossing folder is from my stash. The stamp sets used are What I Love. I'm not sure what set the Birthday Wishes is from. The banner is hand cut.

Thanks for stopping by today. If you'd like to join our monthly Shoebox Swap, send me a request to be added to the list. Our next one is April 23rd. Until next time....HAPPY STAMPING!
