Birthday Cards

I'm going to share some birthday cards with you today. As you can see from the first one, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Blendabilities. And, don't forget...YOU can order them beginning July 1. See previous post for the colors available.
I used a Whisper White card base, an Old Olive layer and then a Rich Razzleberry layer punched with the retired Eyelet Border punch. Colored the Blended Bloom flower with Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities. The leaves were cut from Old Olive with the retired Secret Garden Framelits.
This is a card in a box card I made for our 'Little Princess'. She's the one who got the new swing set. She turns 2 in July. I made this with my e-cutter. The DSP is retired SU! and the crowns were cut using the Silver Glimmer paper and the Silver Foil paper.
Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Stamping!

I have been out of the loop for a bit, as Grampa and I took a trip to California (Fresno) to build a swing set for our youngest granddaughter. She will be 2 next month. Mommy & Daddy picked out the swing set, Gramma & Grampa bought it and Grampa & Daddy built it.
All the pieces and parts
It took about 2 1/2 days total...the weather was VERY HOT (in the upper 90s), so it didn't get worked on all day, every day.

Getting there

Grampa's almost done
Finally....a swing set for our Princess
Having fun with Daddy

Just hangin' out!

Holiday Bloom

Yes, Virginia, there are stamps for Holiday cards in the Annual Catalog. I colored the Blended Bloom with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities and then it just 'screamed' Christmas Rose to me. So, I created this card using Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Naturals Ivory card stock.
So, if you don't want to wait for the Holiday Catalog to start your Holiday crafting, take another look at the stamp sets in the Annual Catalog and see if you can't 'adapt' them to the holidays! Thanks for stopping by today and...HAPPY HOLIDAY STAMPING!

I have finally felt good enough about my use of Blendabilities to make a project.
I used the Daffodil Delight set of Blendabilities for the Blended Bloom stamp (thank you Dawn Bristlin for the stamped images for practice). The leaves are from the retired Secret Garden Framelits. The small Crisp Cantaloupe flowers are from the retired Bitty Punch Pack (the centers are Basic Pearls colored with the Blendabilities). The DSP is from a retired pack called Walk in the Park. The white layer is the Large Scallop Framelit and the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder. You can't see it in the picture, but I did sponge a little Old Olive ink around the top and sides of the white layer. I stamped the sentiment from Petite Pairs in Crisp Cantaloupe, punched with the Small Oval Punch and then punched the Scalloped Oval from Crisp Cantaloupe. I'm really happy with the way this turned out. Stop back again for some more projects using products in the new Annual Catalog. Happy Stamping!

May Shoebox Swap

While we wait for the new catalog to go live tomorrow, I'd like to share with you the cards from our Shoebox Swap yesterday. It's always so fun to have these girls over and stamp and chat! Our theme this month was masculine cards (but we added our own sentiments after the fact - these are my sentiments).
This is Mary Lou's card. I added the black overlay and sentiment.
Think it would make a great retirement card.

This was Dawn's card. I love that she gives us many layers!
Dawn pre-made this card for all of us. Again...lots of layers. Love it!
This was Sue's card. Love that the little lion is the focal point!
This was Jen's card. Haven't made 'scene' cards in awhile, so was nice to do this one!

This was Marilyn's card. She couldn't be with us, but made up the cards for all of
us ahead of time. Great card!
This was my card. I totally CASED this card, but I love the monochromatic
idea for a masculine card.
