Anniversary Birds

I made this card for my son & daughter-in-law, who will celebrate their first wedding anniversary next month. I used the colors from their wedding. The card base is Early Espresso, the next layer is Tempting Turquoise and the embossed layer is Very Vanilla. I used the Bird Builder punch and Layered Layers stamp set with the Apothecary Aceents Framelits. Thanks for stopping by today.

Sneak Peek

I promised a 'sneaky peek', and this is what I came up with. I decided to use the new In Colors as well as last year's In Colors to showcase how well they coordinate. This card was inspired by a tutorial that I saw here. My sample isn't nearly as nice as Michelle's, but I'm blaming it on the fact that this was my first attempt and that I didn't follow her directions to a T. I made my sample as an A2 size and her samples were A7.
The blue flower is Pool Party and Midnight Muse, the pink one is Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple, the yellow(?) flower is Summer Starfruit and Calypso Coral. The leaves are Lucky Limeade and Gumball Green. The card base in Wisteria Wonder. I used the Apothecary Accents die to cut out the area for the lattice, and the stamp set is Build a Blossom punched with the Blossom Petals Builder punch. I hope that you try Michelle's tutorial. (Thanks Michelle for your inspiration).  Thanks for stopping by today.

2012-2013 Annual Catalog

If you have received your new catalog, what is your favorite NEW item? If you haven't received a new catalog, yet, email me at and I will get one out to you. Everyone who leaves a comment about their favorite NEW item between now and May 31 will have their name entered into a drawing for 'blog candy'. Don't know what it will be, yet, but it will be well worth your comment. Make sure you leave your email address in the comment, so that I can contact you and get your 'candy' mailed after June 1.

For Baby Alexis

I finally have something to share with you today. I made a baby shower card for my daughter-in-law's baby shower. The baby's name is Alexis Marie and she is due August 1. The shower is next month.

Supplies used:
Pretty in Pink card stock base with a Whisper White layer that was embossed with an embossing folder from my stash. I punched Pretty in Pink with the 2 1/2 inch circle punch to back the Sweet Treat cup. The background paper is something from my stash. The punched 2 3/8 inch Scallop Circle is Pink Pirouette. Treat cup filler, ribbon and beads that spell Alexis were from my stash, as well. (I used a lot of things from my stash, as a lot of my stamps were on the retired list!).

I hope you give this a try sometime, it was relatively easy...the hardest part were the little beads in the treat cup. At one point, there were a ton on the floor of the stamp room! LOL. Thanks for stopping by today.  Check back in a couple of days and I might have a 'sneaky peel' for you!

Baby Shower Invite

Wanted to share with you the wonderful baby shower invite I received in the mail. This is for my daughter-in-law's baby shower and was made by her friend, Minja. I think she did a wonderful job! Not SU! product, but still a beautiful invitation!

We are Finally Home

Thanks everyone, for watching the progress on our new home. We are FINALLY here. Loving Northern Idaho! We've been here for almost a month, and as you can imagine, we still have tons of stuff to unpack. The stamp room is unpacked, however, not organized, as yet. With all the changes going on at SU! with the new catalog launch, I'm fearful that it will take some time, but it will get there and I'm sure that I will love creating in my new space. Once I get some 'free' time, I will go in and create something to share with you all. In the meantime, here's the latest SU! promotion:

Go to my website and click the 'Join Now' button to take advantage of this great offer!

Thanks for stopping by today, please stop back by soon to see if I've had time to stamp!
