To Our Favorite Cheesehead!

Our son-in-law is the biggest Packer Backer that we know. He's originally from Wisconsin and is truly a fan...through the good and the bad. His birthday is next month and when I saw Wendy Riordan's card on Stampin' Connection, I knew I had to try to case it!  Especially since they won the Super Bowl this year!
Wendy's card is much better, but, I didn't have all the punches that she used, so I had to improvise. He's not a fan of #64 (is there even a #64 on the team?), but he was born in 1964, so that's why I used that number. Sure hope he likes it! Thanks for stopping by today.

Chalkboard/Black Magic Technique

The CYRious Stampers held their February meeting on Tuesday and the swap theme was to make a card using the Chalkboard/Black Magic technique. Here are the cards that were made.
This was Pat's card. As you can see, she decided to use a line art stamp vs a solid stamp. She used the bloom from Because I Care. This is a beautiful card. Great job, Pat!

This is Diane's card. She used the stamp set Awash with Flowers. She added the pearls and punched the ends and corners with the Scallop Trim punches. Good job, Diane!

This is the card I made. As you can see, I, too used Awash with Flowers. I also used the Seam Binding and ran it through the Crimper. Then used the White Gel Pen to add the accents.

Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Stamping!

Inlaid Technique

As promised, here are the cards that I made using the Inlaid Technique. If you are not familiar with the technique, please contact me and I'll gladly show you how to do this. It's really awesome!
This is my first attempt. I knew as soon as I received the glitter paper in the Occasions Mini that I wanted to try to do something like this. I also used the Square Lattice Embossing folder and some 5/8" red satin ribbon.

But, I couldn't stop there, I had to try one with the Create a Cupcake punch. I used Old Olive for the card base and the Scallop Border punch to make the inlaid piece. I also used Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry card stock for my cupcakes and layered that onto Rich Razzleberry.
Hope that you enjoyed today's post. Thanks for stopping by, be sure to stop by again soon!
