Finally

Okay....I finally was able to 'steal' Pat's copy of my swap from our June meeting. I'm still waiting for a pic from Shelly of hers. I used the Because I Care set, Baja Breeze, Basic Black & Basic Gray card stock. I also used the Spritzer to add some texture around the flower. Enjoy!

CYRious Stampers June Swaps

Here are the swap cards promised in my last post. I forgot AGAIN to take a pic of mine before the meeting and Shelly thought it was a Shoebox, so I have the pieces to make hers, but haven't had the time to do it yet.

This was Pat's card: She used the stamp set Because I Care, new Level 1  Hostess Set, Crumb Cake and Old Olive card stock.

This was Diane's card. She used Pink Pirouette and Cherry Cobbler card stock, the new stamp set Friends Never Fade and the new 2 3/8 inch Scallop Circle punch.

This was Denise's card. She used the stamp set Cute by the Inch, new Level 2 Hostess set, new card stock Marina Mist, Pear Pizzaz and Early Espresso, new Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper, the new Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Perfect Details Texturz Plates. She even lined the envelope!

June CYRious Stampers Meeting

The CYRious Stampers had our June meeting last night. This is the beautiful project that Diane brought to us:

She used both the Spotlight and Reverse Spotlight techniques. The card stock is Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. The stamp set is Elements of Style. She also used the soft suede Polka Dot ribbon that will retire at the end of June as well as the Scallop Trim corner punch. Thanks Diane for a beautiful project!

At our meeting, I also shared a card I made that was inspired by the July issue of Stampin' Success:
This is a 4X 4 card using Daffodil Delight, Always Artichoke and Pumpkin Pie card stock. The flower is made with the Scallop Trim border punch (in the July SS they used the Eyelet border punch, but I don't own that one). The leaves are hand cut and scored then run through the crimper. The saying is from Elements of Style.

We also held a swap and had a Business Challenge to complete at this meeting. Pics of the swap cards and the prize for the challenge will be posted in a day or two. Thanks for stopping by today.

Sneak Peek

I just thought I would give you a little peek at
one of the Level One Hostess Sets and a couple
of our new colors.

This card was made with the Because I Care
stamp set, using Marina Mist and Whisper
White card stock, Marina Mist ink (the stem
was done with a Pear Pizzazz marker), and
two brads for accent.

The colors will be available in the new Idea
Book & Catalog (July 1, 2010), and the only
way to get this stamp set is to be a Hostess.
